Casual Contour Ft. Mehron

Casual Contour Ft. Mehron

Hey Divas!! As you ~*already know,*~ contouring has become a go-to in shaping the face, especially in the world of makeup. As much as I love the glammed-up look of Kim K., I’m more of a “casual contour” kind of gal.

Here’s my how-to, featuring my favorite cream contour kit, Mehron’s Celebre Pro-HD Cream – Contour & Highlight Palette that features an outstanding twelve shades!

What I love about this palette is that it’s super creamy, easy to apply, stays put all day, and it’s perfect for all skin tones since it has so many shades!

NOTE: Before contouring, I created my canvas with a light coat of foundation. I did my eye makeup and eyebrows as well.

To make this tutorial easier to follow, I numbered where I put certain shades.

1. Contour Shade, “MD 2”

2. Contour Shade, “ME 3”

3. Highlight Shade, “D3”

For highlight, I used number “3” to highlight under my eyes, the center of my forehead, the center of my chin, the bridge of my nose, and underneath my cheekbone contour area.

For Contour, I used number “1,” the darker contour shade, on the hairline, under my cheekbone, and on the edge of my face. I used number “2,” the lighter contour shade, on top of my initial cheekbone contour, underneath my highlight under my cheekbone, and around my highlight on my nose. TIP! Adding the second lighter contour shade creates depth and helps my contour look more “natural” when I’m blending the three shades together on my face.

For blending, I used my favorite Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. It’s super affordable, and it’s super soft.

After blending, my face looks like this:

To complete my look, I used Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder to set my contour and highlight to a matte finish. If you like a dewy look, you can skip this step!

As a finishing touch, I added a pop of color to my cheeks with Clinique Cheek Pop in “Berry Pop.” Then swiped on a coat of Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in “Shame.”

I hope you enjoyed my “casual contour” look! Ps. If you divas want more glam and definition, you can add two coats of this tutorial to achieve it! :)
