Who doesn’t love a Disney princess? Even better, modern-day interpretations of Disney princesses.
So when I was presented the opportunity to review the new Gelish mini Cinderella 2015 collection, I pounced.
Six limited-edition brand-spankin’ new shades, along with three limited-edition glitter toppers… ummmm, yes please. The names of these polishes too made me smile as I pulled each out of its package. The collection, inspired by the soon-to-debut live-action Walt Disney’s Cinderalla (movie opening in theaters March 13, 2015), consists of:
- Party at the Palace
- My Carriage Awaits
- Watch Your Step, SIster!
- If the Slipper Fits
- Ella of a Girl
- Live Like There’s No Midnight
- Stepsisters Rule (topper)
- A Magic Moment (topper)
- I’ll Make It Fit (topper)
I paired Party At the Palace (as a base coat) and If The Slipper Fits (as a top coat) for a gorgeous sparkly turquoise blue worthy of… a one-of-a-kind ballgown that only exists til midnight.
You know the kind.
And as with all Gelish gel laquer, it applies like regular polish, dries instantly in a LED lamp in 30 seconds (or in a traditional UV lamp in 2 minutes), stays in great condition for weeks, and soaks off in only 10 – 15 minutes. Now if you have an oily nail bed, or use a lot of hand creams and lotions, I’ve found that after soaking in a hot bath after the gel has been on for over a week, it can effortlessly lift off as a whole from each finger. No time and no money for removal. Kind of genius.
