In the Nude (No, not really)

In the Nude (No, not really)

Since we’ve now approached that time of year when it’s too early to start unpacking the sweaters and too late to sport bright, flashy “it’s summer!” colors, I decided to go neutral. I call this my Pre-Fall look. Neutrals are the perfect shade to choose when nothing else fits and what better neutral to pick than nude?!

Crabtree & Evelyn London recently introduced their Nud-Est Collection of nail lacquer that’s “bare yet bold” and “subtle yet sensational.” The shades availible are Alabaster (a creamy ivory with pearl shimmer), Peaches & Cream (a peachy pink with shimmer), Almond (a pale beige-nude) and Mocha (a warm mocha with platinum shimmer). Each runs for $6.00 USD.

The polishes are formulated without camphor, dibutyl phthalates, formaldehyde or toluene, leaving nails clean of chemicals.

The shade I set out to try was Almond. Not only did it look like the perfect nude (from just the bottle), I loved the amount-of-polish-to-price ratio and that it was travel-sized perfectly to throw in my purse before my mani!

After applying 2 coats, this was the result. I was quite pleased with it because it came out glossy even without a topcoat.

After seven days of wear (and 1 application of top coat!) this is the result…

They still look amazing!

Why not “go nude” and try it!
