Even before I fell in love with Milly’s FW15 geometric-mixed-with-pops-of-color collection, I fell in love with their ‘a tad messy, totally chic, and simply effortless’ beauty look. And below, is how they achieved it, with help from Beauty.com.
HAIR
Making a point not to alter the structure of each model’s hair (ie. curly, wavy, straight), a stylist worked a mixture of PHYTO Professional Intense Volume Mousse and PHYTO Phytolaque Soie Hairspray into dry hair. Next, hair was blow dried using fingers instead of a brush to keep the hair textured. To finish, Phyto 7 Hydrating Day Cream was added for additional texture, where needed.
The look was intended to have a ‘fresh out of a convertible’ look, with only one definitive element– the middle part. The rest was ‘to be taken less seriously’ and more played with than studied.

SKINCARE
To prep the skin, Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist was sprayed in a “T” motion over the face. Next, Jurlique Age-Defying Nourishing Cleansing Oil (coming soon to Beauty.com) was applied evenly to the face. Afterwards, Jurlique Moisture Replenishing Day Cream was applied helped lock-in moisture, and Jurlique Rose Love Balm assisted preparation for the lips.

MAKEUP
First, Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer was applied to the face, completely blurring any imperfections (not that the models had any, anyways!).
Kevyn Aucoin The Lip Gloss in Beaugonia was used for highlighting the cheekbones, and in the corner of the eyes.
Next, eyelids were dusted with a mixture of Kevyn Aucoin The Eyeshadow Single in shades, 108 and 109, and a thin line was drawn on on the lash line with Kevyn Aucoin The Eye Pencil in Basic Black. Over the line, Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Liquid Liner was used to amplify it, and Kevyn Aucoin Eye Definer Liner (coming soon to Beauty.com) was used in the inner rim of the eyes, as well as the waterline, to complete the look. One coat of Kevyn Aucoin The Curling Mascara topped off this simple, yet defined eye and was paired with Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Lip Balm on lips as a soft contrast.

NAILS
Nails were fun, yet humbly lustrous, with a soft nude as a base-coat, and one coat of Nonie Creme Colour Prevails Laquer in shade, Mr. Right to top it off. I love the glitter polish used because not many runways were using glitter, and although it is still glitter, it didn’t take eyes away from the collection itself. Plus, the applicator is not only super-cute, but also super-functional, with a patented design that makes painting your own nails (yes, even with the opposite hand) a breeze!
