It’s summer and it’s wedding season…
With that comes skin-baring body-hugging dresses. (For me at least, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one.)
Although I go to the gym on the regular and am pretty happy with my shape, I always feel my abs could be tighter and more toned. (And again, just guessing I’m not the only one!)
So when the BMR Tummy Lift was shipped to LDiva for the blog and promised quick results, I figured I’d give it a try. (Lauren can’t commit to a weekly TV show let alone a device she has to wear daily.)
At first, I was a little weary of the product because I wasn’t sure it if would be uncomfortable (or hurt!) or if it would just be a waste of time.
I mean, electrical muscle stimulation equipment… Huh?
But the product is very easy to use. Every night for 30 days, you wear the rechargeable belt for the recommended time, which varies depending on the level of intensity — usually 20-30 minutes.
When you first turn it on using the activator, it will feel a little strange.
As you increase the intensity, the sensation goes from a mild tingly feel at the lowest level to a distinct muscle contraction at the higher levels. This is when the product — and your abs — are “working” their best!
There are 10 toning programs in total: 8 core and 2 bonus. The activator automatically takes you from program 1 to 6 (for the lightweights) while programs 7-10 (for the hardcore) need to be manually chosen.
Once finished, I felt an immediate difference and for roughly a week after using the device I could notice my abs felt leaner and tauter. I was skeptical at first but then pleasantly surprised.
Blissworld.com sells the Tummy Lift belt for $200 and the Activator for $80 – nearly $300 for the combo, pre-tax. No small change.
So if you don’t use it on a consistent basis I’m not sure (and kind of highly doubt) the results will last.
But if you’re planning a hot night in a hot dress this Tummy Lift is definitely worth a try!
This is sooo something my BFF Joanna would buy off a late night infomercial, use a few times and throw in a closet. So while it’s amazing to find something that works for the midsection, kind of like magic even, as with exercise it sounds like this requires real commitment for desired results. XOLC
