There are a lot of ways to approach beauty for a nudes and neons ensemble.
But when you’re racing down to FiDi (NYC’s Financial District) to do makeup for the bridal party then racing back up with just minutes to get yourself dressed and done in order to make it back down to the church on time, pulling out all the (cosmetic) stops isn’t exactly an option.
And although these words were not in my reading at Chris & Hill’s ceremony on 8/11/12, as I reviewed it in the cab ride there I added for myself: For best friends up against the clock and still stuck in Soho traffic who first need to freshen up the bride and then be articulate and not panting at the altar, that they may find alternate routes using Google Maps and still look cute despite the mad rush, let us pray to the Lord.
Thankfully, or thanks be to God perhaps, we got there in the knick of time and my makeup help up despite humid air and sprinting in 5″ platform pumps.
