BRIDES April/May 2014 Issue, Photo by Gabrielle Revere
My very first tube of lipgloss was a sheer pink from Lancôme that I got at A&S on Long Island in the 80s after much persistence. I wanted a fiery fuchsia but since I was – you know – in elementary school, my mom and I compromised on something ultra-glossy in finish but subtle in shade. I loved how it looked, loved how it felt, loved how it smelled… I felt instantly glamorous and unstoppable. Simply put — I.Was. Hooked.
Fast forward to this very moment, and I couldn’t be more excited to announce my 2014 partnership with Lancôme & BRIDES magazine!!!
Throughout the year, I will be sharing bridal beauty tips in the magazine via beautiful spread creative, online in videos and here on DIVAlicious, plus all our collective social extensions – instagram, twitter, pinterest, facebook and so on.
I custom created all the looks for Lancôme using their soon-to-launch bridal palettes plus new launch products and served as makeup artist and beauty expert for the advertising units and videos that will be rolling out over the months.
Some background on the project: When you are a bride, all eyes — and cameras — are on you! So from the formulas to the finishes, the skincare regimen we are recommending and the makeup looks we’ll be featuring are PERRRRFECT for brides who want to look their absolute most beautiful, not only on their wedding day but for all the special events leading up to and following it (the engagement party, the shower, the bachelorette, the rehearsal dinner, the day-after brunch and the honeymoon). Because whether she a natural beauty or a glamour girl, every bride wants to look flawless in person and in all those captured moments.
Spoiler alert: Lancôme’s much-buzzed about Dual Finish Foundation and Lip Lover Lip Perfector both play a MAJOR part in addition to the beloved Genefique serum.
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come…….
Pick up the April/May 2014 issue of BRIDES today and stay tuned for more!!
And special thanks to my interns GaYoung Kwon and Jessica Angeles, my makeup assistant for the project Denise Del Russo, and of course, the incredible team from BRIDES, from Lancôme, our photographer and director Gabrielle Revere and her rockstar crew.
