There is one reason and one reason alone why I wanted to test Body of Royalty lipstick when the press release recently came through: BRANDING.
When I see a makeup company with a tagline that says…
BE CONFIDENT. BE PROVOCATIVE. BE ROYALTY.
… I know it’s on brand for divas.
And when they send over a shade called Love Hard, I know it’s on brand for me.
Can we stop for a sec to discuss how GORGEOUS this color is??? I mean, hold the freakin’ phone.
This is how the website describes the shade:
YESTERDAY IS GONE AND TOMORROW IS A DREAM. SO LOVE HARD TODAY IN THIS BUBBLE GUM PINK LIPSTICK!
Seriously, Body of Royalty, can we be best friends?!
Yes. Yes. Yes to that sentiment.
In keeping with the provocative theme, I pulled out some new intimates I recently purchased that would wear well with this lippie (and perhaps not much more).
The shade was just winking at me as I snapped it and I couldn’t wait to try it on.
Can you say LUST? How pretty is it!?!
According to one of the brand’s creators, Jermelle Pitts, “I want to be the reason why she’s confident when she enters a room, and I’ve been able to do that with Body of Royalty Beauty.”
Amen to that.
Body of Royalty lipstick is gluten-free, pigment-packed (!!) and infused with Vitamin E. It sells for $14.99 in a range of shades sold here.
