For all you inquiring minds… a peek inside my medicine chest — which of course has no medicine and all beauty products!!
These are the ones I use regularly.
(Note: I do not use these products in excessive combination – I create a skin cocktail for morning and night based on daily skin needs. I do think there is such a thing as skincare overload and given the delicate nature of facial skin it is important not to “overcare” for the skin.)
Let’s go from bottom to top, since that’s their priority ranking given my height ;)
BOTTOM ROW
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion - overnight rescue for breakouts, I will apply even to the hint of a facial imperfection
Patricia Wexler MMPi.20 Skin Regenerating Serum - the first thing I put on after showering, this famous pink gel is basically face insurance to keep skin looking youthful and happy, and it also feels amazing
Align - daily probiotic pill for digestive health, goes in the cabinet so I remember to take it in the morning, a life-changer
Embryolisse - the “miracle” french cream I recently wrote about, a backstage beauty essential but also a must-buy for everyday use as a moisturizer and primer
La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Fluide Extreme – the last step in my morning skincare is this very high, very broad UVA/UVB protection sunscreen, it’s a light splash of heavy protection from the sun and all forms of sun damage, while I do love tan skin – in this day and age – we can easily fake it
Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 - if I’m running around doing errands, I wear this light tinted moisturizer in lieu of makeup with gloss and mascara
DDF Advanced Eye Firming Concentrat

MIDDLE ROW
Shiseido Facial Cotton – love these, they don’t steal product like most criminal cotton by absorbing so much of it – so if you use expensive lotions and potions there’s little waste
Ahava Skin Replenisher - my go-to night cream, super light, super gentle
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair - a must-have night serum for skin clarity, smooth skin texture and anti-aging properties
Ahava Intensive Hydration Mask - I use this as an overnight mask for when I need something to really penetrate and hydrate, the next morning my skin is baby soft
Estee Lauder Take It Away Total Makeup Remover - removes even the most stubborn cosmetics, for full face but also works well on the end of a q-tip to remove mascara/eyeliner or for makeup touchups and fixes (stays nicely contained, doesn’t spread)
Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel - great nighttime cleanser, also removes everything from waterproof to longwear makeup
TOP ROW
Shiseido Benefiance Eye Treatment Masks - I live for these – great for long flights, hangovers and general sleep-deprivation
Origins Drink Up Mask - Instant hydration, skin really does drink it up
Origins Clear Improvement Mask - At-home facial, an effective way to clear pores
Borghese Fango Mask - Revitalizes and improves look of skin in a very fun ‘incredible hulk’ green color
Mario Badescu Keratoplast Cleansing Lotion - Gentle toner I use when my skin is lookin’ a little shiny (although I tend to steer clear of the toner/astringent category as much as possible)
Estee Lauder Perfectionist - Correcting serum for lines, wrinkles, age spots (so much to look forward to!)
Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir - non-greasy gel gently exfoliates and firms skin overnight
Avon Anew Derm-Full x3 – a plumper and filler really for deeper wrinkles but I occasionally dab on the whisper lines around my eyes (say no to crow’s feet!)
And there you have it!
- hydrates, de-puffs, de-wrinkles and lifts, for the woman who wants it all in her eye cream
In The Cup – Bremenn Zit Zapper (if you don’t want those pink dots all over your face from the Badescu), Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Eye Roller (for serious bags under the eyes), Smashbox O-Gloss (sheer self-adjusting pink lipgloss for no-makeup makeup), Hydroquinone 4% (this actually does qualify as medicine although it’s cosmetic, an rx cream for little sunspots and hyperpigmentation)
