I was very excited to review Gerard Cosmetics because I’ve heard a lot of buzz about their products on Instagram and YouTube, so I really wanted to know what the hype was all about.

Gerard carries an array of products but my package came with two lip products; a lipstick and a lipgloss.

I’m so in love with Gerard’s packaging. The all gold looks beautiful and the lipstick as well! Here’s a swatch  of French Toast:

The Lipstick  is described as ” a neutral hue that will flatter all skin tones.”  I think  this is a beautiful color – but I would enhance it just a bit by lining my lips with a brown lip liner so that it can better suit my complexion. Other than that I have no complaints.

The lipstick has no smell to it, and I smelled several times to make sure I wasn’t mistaken because I am so used to lipsticks having some kind of smell. The lipstick has  a very creamy texture and wears for up to two hours depending on whether you eat or not during that time. I definitely had to reapply after eating.

Here’s  Summer Sun Lip Gloss:

I really love  the packaging on this as well. I think the mirror on the back is a great idea! So many times I wish I had a mirror to apply my lip product but I always forget to put one in my bag.  The fact that the Gerard lip glosses come with one built is amazing!

There’s also a built-in light! Gerard went all out with this one!

I think this is great for a night out on the town or a party, so you don’t have to go to the bathroom to reapply your lip!

Here’s an arm swatch of Summer Sun:

The Lip gloss is a dark orange color. It  glided on nicely and did not have a heavy sticky feel to it. It also has a  pleasant fruity smell.

Overall, I really liked the products. They’re great quality and those little add-ons that make life as a girl a bit easier makes Gerard’s lip products a must have.
