In comparison to his previous collections, one could say that Amir Taghi really took this one to the next level. The foundation of his style has always denoted elegance and vintage sophistication. For his SS15 line, Amir built on that foundation by incorporating crystal embellishments, damask fabric and ivory lace, presenting a combination of modern trends and inspiration from his Persian roots.

Toying with luxurious fabrics is in Taghi’s nature, so he employed a variety of metallic satins, chiffon, knits and even a touch of leather – all ranging in shades of ivory, soft blue, and lavender. While twill jackets, cigarette pants and pencil skirts defined the vogue-esque business woman, plunging necklines, front racerback fitted dresses, and oversized cat-eye sunnies catered to the high couture, resort-wearing fashionista. Both of these elements spoke to the chic sophistication that Taghi has always been devoted to.
Although no single piece of Taghi’s collection was identical, they all had one aspect in common:
Business in the front…
…and party in the back.
Accessories added to Taghi’s luxe Spring/Summer line, including metallic gold belts that accentuated waistlines and black patent sandal stilettos.
The infamous NYFW ponytail made its way into Taghi’s SS15 collection. The low pony was side-parted and slicked back, unveiling a naturally glowing face. Makeup was kept to a bare minimum with cheekbones being the highlight of the face thanks to a contouring bronzer. Eyes remained natural, while lips were given a complementary nude.
