On this Mani Monday, my top nail looks from Miss Mei Kawajiri are all weekend inspired.
Biting the bullet. At the insistence of my mother, I finally got myself a NutriBullet… for health and nutrition purposes. Instead this Cinco de Mayo, it was used for homemade fresh fruit tequila cocktails. Many many tequila cocktails. (That Señor Lechuga is a bad influence.)
This assorted fruit manicure by Mei is calorie-free.
#SPREADLOVEITSTHEBROOKLYNWAY. I ventured out of Nolita into Brooklyn this weekend not once but twice. On Friday night to Williamsburg for a belated birthday dinner for Featured Member Brenda Della Casa and on Saturday afternoon for a baby’s 1st birthday in Brooklyn Heights. While the trains and storefronts aren’t nearly as “tagged up” as when I was much younger out and about in Kings County, my favorite form of “street art” is still ever-present.
This graffiti mani gives you that bad girl feel without having to deface public property.
Gatsby Glam. As Gatsby-mania grows, the film’s star and director were here in NYC for a private screening. I rarely have an interest in these big budget productions, but there’s no denying Gatsby-inspired beauty and fashion trends are EVERYWHERE.
While the story is set in the Roaring Twenties, this Gatsby nail design is fresh and modern.
Wow. Someone should contact the studio – these are awesome.

Mei is the mani master!
But I would think you would have preferred your shout-out on the fruit nails :)
