Gorgeous glowing skin, effortless hair and nude nails made for a simple but stunning backstage beauty look at Erin Fetherston SS17.
SKIN
Finally Divas, stress-free skin is what’s in!
And Skyn Iceland is no stranger to anyone who’s serious about their skincare. Their wide range of products solve any dilemma (long-term or short!), and can be found right on an Ulta shelf near you.
For starters, at Erin Fetherston SS17 models had their faces stripped of any residue with Skyn’s Glacial Cleansing Cloths. Next, Pure Pore Minimizer (aka the invisible miracle layer between skin and makeup) was applied in a circular motion to skin to fill in any harsh lines or pores.
Because fashion week is tiresome, a three-step eye approach was offered, consisting of Icelandic Relief Eye Cream (now in a convenient pen form!), Under-Eye Illuminator, and Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels, with models sticking the crest-shape pads under their eyes for an instant de-puff.
Lastly, founder Sarah Kugelman demonstrated their newest product, Plumping Lip Gels, which are slim gel-like lip-shaped pads that are worn for only 10 minutes and instantly soften and plump lips for prime perfection.
MAKEUP
Call the GlamSquad!
Prior to any makeup, the Glamsquad team sprayed models’ faces with Arctic Face Mist for a quick refresher and an instant glow.
Next, IT Cosmetics CC cream applied with a Beauty Blender created a sheer, natural canvas. Brows were kept natural and full, and lips had a sheer gloss for an added glow. Eyes had a muted brown matte shade across them to give slight dimension.
I personally love how GlamSquad uses multiple products from multiple brands, and when speaking to an artist, she excitedly shared, “Every [makeup] brand has a few strong core products, and we are able to combine those strong products with others to create this amazing canvas!”
HAIR
“A soft, fluffy texture” was the goal for Erin Fetherston SS17 hair, sponsored by Davines.
Loose, tousled waves were achieved using a curling wand, and finishing off with dry texturizing spray. After letting it dry, the waves were brushed out to create the “fluff” effect.
I feel like this is something anyone could easily replicate, and it looks so effortless and chic!
NAILS
All-around favorite Essie was backstage, featuring Brides-to-Be (soft caramel blush) on hands, and Topless and Barefoot (soft beige pink) on toes.
The shades gave the nails a muted, flesh-toned look that didn’t distract from the designs on the runway.
So far, I am LIVING for the fresh, glowing faces displayed at this year’s SS’17 Fashion Week! What do you think Divas?!
