Skin is always in, DIVA’s. We all know this, but sometimes we fall short when it comes to our skin care regimens. With new skincare products and lines coming out all the time, it’s hard to figure out which ones are worth trying, which ones will actually work, and which ones specifically meet our skin’s needs.
I’m often hesitant to try new skin care products for fear of drying out my already dry skin. However, some lines are worth trying. This month I gave Benzac’s three step skin care regimen a try because after we received samples, I read good things about the products.
I was initially impressed because none of the products are tested on animals and there are no animal-derived ingredients within the products! The line was designed to treat stubborn acne, balance the skin and prevent new breakouts from forming. My skin is pretty sensitive so it worked out great for me that none of the products have any artificial fragrances or dyes!
When it comes to skin care treatment, I need products that will help balance my skin tone and make my skin appear luminous and fresh. I used all three products over the last month and have found that my skin is clear and no more dry than normal. I believe this is partly due to the fact that the Benzac products contain 100% pure, pharmaceutical-grade East Indian Sandalwood Oil. East Indian Sandalwood has the highest levels of santalols (organic compounds produced by plants), which are known to give the oil a more potent antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect.
What’s awesome is that Benzac is the only skincare line that uses this kind of oil!
So here are the three products and their individual benefits:
1. Benzac Skin Balancing Foaming Cleanser, Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid 0.5%
*gently exfoliates the skin by clearing dead skin cells, removing excess oil and unclogging pores without over-drying
*the East Indian Sandalwood Oil works to calm and soothe the appearance of red, irritated skin and help reduce inflammation
2. Benzac Intensive Spot Treatment, Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid 2.0%
*rapidly neutralizes newly forming breakouts before they emerge and treats existing acne
*fast drying gel unclogs pores and contains odorless onion extract, which is known to help combat scarring
3. Benzac Blemish Clearing Hydrator, Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid 0.5%
*treats acne and prevents pimples from forming while reducing excess oil
*lightweight, moisturizing serum leaves skin balanced, smooth and hydrated
You can use the entire line twice a day, morning and night!
Use the products in this order:
Step 1: Remove excess oil and impurities with 2 – 3 pumps of the Benzac Skin Balancing Foaming Cleanser. Wet face and pump a small amount of cleanser onto wet palms. Gently massage the cleanser all over the face for about 20-30 seconds, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly, then pat dry.
Step 2: Apply a small amount of the Benzac Intensive Spot Treatment directly on blemishes. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer once or twice daily.
Step 3: Gently massage 2 – 3 pumps of the Benzac Blemish Clearing Hydrator all over the face to balance and rehydrate skin.
And that’s it!
If you have a sonic cleanser, like we talked about here, you can use these products in conjunction with the cleanser for even better results!
Give the line a try and let me know what y o u think DIVA’s!!
