When fashion hooks up with beauty, their love child is called style.
And to be stylish is to truly understand head-to-toe image.
One woman who consistently does it right: Rachel Roy.
From the shoe to the outfit to the purse to the hair to the makeup.
Impeccable.
So when I got a fb message from my childhood friend Richie telling me he worked on Rachel’s first ever makeup launch, I wasn’t at all surprised – just besides myself excited to test it!
Christmas came early when days later, it arrived in the mail. What a treat!
The 10 pan pallette of eye shadows was inspired by Roy’s spirituality and her evil eye which Richie translated through watercolors which then became the theme of the packaging.
For $32, it will be available exclusively at Macy’s and on rachelroy.com where it ships on 11/29.
Once I got it in my hands (muchas gracias Richie!!), I immediately called Miss Christina Bambina to come over so we could test out the goods. She happily obliged.
The shades are divided into day and night and, being such creatures of the night ourselves, we went blues over browns.
The shimmery pigments are divine. We both loved the collection.
Here’s CB modeling the product on face and in hand :)
(Note: Blues appear slightly muted in the photos. Not the case in real life. The shadows had strong and beautiful color payoff.)
To complete the face, I applied Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup in Medium punched up with NYX Studio Photogenic Grinding Blush in English Rose plus Makeup Mix lipgloss in Winter Rose.
Bee-you-tee-full!!!!!
