Yet another FUNDAY in nyc, although this time it was a holiday weekend so everyyyyyyone was going out.
No better time to test a fresh new beauty look!
STAR PRODUCT - Hard Candy’s GLOW ALL THE WAY in Glamazon Bronze (it also comes in a pretty pink called Doll Face).
I applied this all over my face after using the Embryolisse as a primer. Then very sparingly with its sponge, applied Shiseido Advanced Hydo-liquid (cream) Foundation for light but luminous coverage. Love how the Glow All the Way gives a ‘lit from within’ look – exactly why I prefer cream and liquid highlighters to powders (as per my beauty tip in this month’s Cosmo!)
[Note – the camera flash enhances this glow, but rest assured my forehead did not look shiny in real life!]
I also played with a fun MAC quad called Photo Realism on the eye (which photographed grey-ish but was actually all greens to pick up the green in the backless halter) and left the lip bare with Smashbox cream lipgloss in Simmer.
Makeup always sets the mood for me and this new look needed a new venue, so we started at Mulberry Project where they make killer cocktails. The plan was to later head up the block to GoldBar, which we did after a pit-stop at Pravda for Infused Ginger Vodka and Lemondrops. The best part of the night – not needing to reapply a strong lip in between sips! The second best – being told I had that JLO glow!
