Went shopping in search of a new lipliner and lipstick (or gloss) to last me alllllll day and night this Friday for my BFF’s wedding. The shade requirement – pretty but powerful.
Popped into MAC and within five minutes the search concluded.
I am OBSESSED with the new Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in the neutral shades so decided to check out a punchy pink. Fell madly in love with In Anticipation. Seemed like the perfect name for a bridal shade too.
It’s seriously so pretty, I considered wearing it all by itself with just clear lipglass on top. And that’s definitely an option for the future.
But what fun would that be for a party of this magnitude?
I can’t disappoint 300 of my best friend’s closest friends and family with a simple beauty look.
So to make a pout that pops, I perused the Pro Longwear Lipglasses. A nudist at heart, I of course picked up Patience, Please and Ready or Not! These glosses look like plumpers but without any sting, last for hours, and are super-creamy not sticky.
For extra oomph, I’m going to layer a lipstick in between my liner and gloss — and for added dimension, a highlighter to the cupid’s bow and the center of the lower lip.
So it’s gonna go like this…
Exfoliate lips with sugar scrub.
Apply nourishing lip balm. Give time to penetrate.
Pat lips with blotting tissue to remove any excess product.
Line lips and fill in lips with MAC Pro Longwear In Anticipation Lip Pencil.
Coat lips with MAC Lovelorn Lipstick.
Gloss lips with a touch of MAC Pro Longwear Patience, Please Lipglass.
Dab cupid’s bow and center of bottom lip with whitegold or pink highlighter.
Pucker up for pics.
Party all night.
