If you’ve ever properly used the Beauty Blender you are a Beauty Blender lover, plain and simple. The iconic hot pink, latex-free, elliptical-shaped sponge provides a flawless finish and can be used damp to apply makeup like foundation, concealer, bronzer, highlighter, cream blush, cream eyeshadow and more.
The shape of the Beauty Blender allows you to beautifully blend product over both the smooth planes and the harder-to-access contours of the face. You just press and bounce the damp sponge to really fuse product and create a gorgeous second-skin finish. And in my opinion, there is no better looking makeup than makeup that is blended to perfection, sheer and luminous.
BUT… and there is a but… if you take your Beauty Blender on the go as any beauty girl would on vacation or a weekend getaway for example or as any makeup artist might on set, there’s the issue of cleansing and transport.
Because the sponge is used damp, it should be cleaned right after use. But once it’s makeup-free, it’s still not dry, so you can’t just toss it into a brush bag or your pro kit as is. It needs to be protected and encased in something breathable.
ENTER THE BRILLIANT AIR.port PRO. The minute I saw it I had to buy it. I LOVE and I do mean LOVE the way makeup looks when properly applied with a Beauty Blender. But sometimes I still choose another application method not because I truly am looking for a different finish or wear but because I just don’t want to deal with properly caring for and storing the sponge after use.
