From body sprays to perfumes, I’ve been on a search for my signature scent for as long as I can remember. So when LDiva asked me to check out the launch of Agent Provocateur’s newest fragrance, Fatale, and the opening of their boutique at Saks Fifth Avenue last Thursday, I couldn’t say no!
For the divas who are unfamiliar with Agent Provocateur, it is a luxury lingerie brand with designs that are not only elegant and sexy, but playful and empowering. Who wouldn’t feel good knowing you have that kind of sex appeal underneath all those layers!
As soon as I arrived, I was introduced to the concept of the scent, and I immediately fell in love with it. The fragrance gains inspiration from the 1940’s Hollywood femme fatale – an incredibly mysterious, seductive, and charming woman with an aura that can’t help but draw you in. It speaks to the modern day woman who goes to work during the day time, but still has the time and energy to be free whether it’s going out with friends, on a date, or heading home and taking care of a family. At the end of the day, there’s more than just what’s on the outside, which is not only my favorite part about the concept but also the fragrance!
The scent itself consists of various flavors and scents ranging from Madagascar pink pepper, blackcurrant, and mango nectar to velvet gardenia, patchouli, and chocolate gourmand, which all marry together to create the sultry fragrance. Referred to as a “floriental” (known in the fragrance world as a spicy floral that transitions to a heavier base), Fatale, is just the right amount of sweet and spicy! Thanks to the Agent Provocateur team, I was able to test out the fragrance, and I was totally impressed when the scent lasted for most of the day. I was still able to smell it on my wrist when I got home! Fatale is sweet and floral at first, but as time passes and the scent settles into your skin, you can begin to smell the mid and base notes that are heavier and muskier.
It was amazing to hear how the fragrance came together, who knew how much time and thought went into a perfume?! From the sleek, multi-faceted bottle (with a fishnet pattern on its pump!) to the addictive scent, the “Femme Fatale” concept could be seen from every aspect.
Agent Provocateur’s newest boutique itself is sleek and sexy, and definitely stands out on the floor with its black and pink theme. And did I mention the lingerie?!

Divas, I would totally recommend considering Fatale as your signature scent. With its musky vanilla base and bold, sweet, and floral top and mid-scents, Fatale is sure to leave a trail everyone will want to follow!
