The humidity is up on the East Coast. So humid that my dog and I have retreated into the icy air conditioned cocoon that is our living room and we’re not leaving…unless we have to. The sad thing is I always WANT to get out and enjoy the summer festivities. So, I’ve got a CRUELTY-FREE (of course) line-up of goodies for you to pack in your makeup bag ASAP if you’re planning on going out for the remainder of August! Add these PUR Minerals Melt-proof Makeup Essentials to your list ASAP!
Let’s start with that tall, golden beauty in the center: Miracle Mist. This potion for perfection contains over 70 vitamins and minerals, instantly refreshes skin, and helps to set your makeup. The scent of citrus oils is light and delicious, not overpowering. I actually used this as a total body moisturizer on some of the really hot, humid days. I spritzed my legs, arms, and face and went out and about my day. It was light and effective and I really loved this product. I liked that it was a multi-tasker and made my legs and arms feel as fabulous as my face. Now, I’m not going to lie, I have oily skin and I tend to sweat on my face a lot. So, on really humid days, I give my face an extra spritz regardless of what makeup I’m wearing! Despite having to reapply the mist, my makeup stayed where it belonged: on my face!
I’m going to talk about the Double Ego Eyeliner and the Big Look Waterproof Mascara together because I wore them together and LOVED them! I received two Double Egos in Rio de Janiro (a deeper plum color) and Tasmania (a dark chocolate brown). The cool thing about the Double Ego is that these babies are a liner and a liquid in one. I was a little nervous to try the Rio de Janiro, but it was very doable for day or night! The plum shade reminded me of my go-to black liner but with more dimension. The liquid applicator was smooth and tug free; great for top lining! The Tasmania shade was flattering for my brown eyes and was perfect for wearing to work!
As for the mascara? I give this a 10 from the applicator to the formula! This formula has argan oil so my lashes felt very soft, not cakey or crispy which I’ve felt with other mineral mascaras. The waterproof claim is true, but not so much so that you can’t get the stuff off! Removal was very simple and pain free. Overall? These products, used together or separate, help you stay meltproof and animal friendly. Win, win if you ask me!
