Daily Diva: Lady D Lips & Lash

Long seductive lashes and a shiny red pout? WHAT could be more Valentines-appropriate?!

According to DIVAlicious contributor Denise Del Russo, “Wearing a red lip is one of my fave looks because it’s so fast and easy!  All you need to complete it is fresh skin using your preferred foundation or tinted moisturizer, a touch of bronzer or blush to the apples of cheeks, and a few coats of mascara.”

So I decided to give her just that. And then take it up a notch. (Cuz that’s how we do.)

Here is Lady D in the traditional red lip look…

Simple yet GORGE, right?

And we could have just left well enough alone.

Buuuuuut. Sometimes more is more. Especially when it’s just a touch more.

So why not add some false fringe?

Says Denise, “Noir Lashes may be my new most-loved lashes to use! So easy to apply and they come in a wide — and fun — variety of shapes and sizes, perfect for the pro or the adventurous makeup junkie.”

I couldn’t agree more.

What I loved about these lashes was the pliability of their thin clear stems. I popped them right on to Denise here in Trust Fun Baby, then feeling a bit of lash-envy myself I tried out the Hidden Lashettes (outer-corner only falsies). No one could tell they weren’t our own, the stem fits right in the base of the lashes, and yet they totally bumped up the overall glam quotient. (Amazing how great lashes can do that!)

Finally, to amp up the lip, we decided to play with texture.

We busted out the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Glitter in Pink. I separated some with a small spatula and dipped a conditioned lip brush into it to grab the pigments. I then gently patted the glitter onto the center of Denise’s creamy red lip.

As per Denise, “If you have an extra few minutes, try this step. Adding some sparkle to your lip color will also brighten your spirit!”
