Ever wonder if celebs really are as beautiful in person? Well, I can say (with no embellishment) that Denise Richards, 42, is just as stunning up close – in fact, she looks better than ever! And I’m about to tell you the secret to her glowing and seemingly flawless skin.
Let’s take a sneak-peek into the Twisted star’s beauty regimen (because let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to look this good?).
Denise dished at the July 24 launch of New York City’s new OROGOLD flagship store. If you haven’t already heard, Orogold Cosmetics is an anti-aging skincare line that uses luxurious minerals and ingredients in its prestige product lineup (think gold, mother of pearl, diamonds, caviar extract, green tea extract, vitamins, collagen and hexapeptide-8). So luxurious that the brand is rooted in skin care rituals from ancient historic times – Cleopatra’s era. According to Orogold, Cleopatra was known to wear a gold face mask every night (not hard to believe). Well welcome, modern-day Cleopatras – because all of the Orogold collections contain 24-karat gold!
“The products really work and I just feel such a difference on [my] skin,” Richards said. “I’ve been approached by other skin care lines and I won’t endorse anything that I don’t use.”
Richards said people are now finding out that gold, diamonds and other natural materials are good for the skin – and she likes mixing products from the different Orogold collections depending on what her skin needs that day.
“I have dry skin so I try to do things that will help keep my skin moisturized without breaking out.”
So what makes pure gold the key ingredient for beautiful skin?
“Gold is believed to have properties for anti-aging,” said Marlena Chang, an Orogold skin specialist who has been with the brand for two years.
But paying for creams and serums made with pure gold doesn’t come with a small price tag. You’re paying for, well, gold after all. Most of the products fall in the $298 to $1,500 range – so be ready to SPLURGE!
COLLECTION HIGHLIGHTS:
Price point: $1,000 to $1,500
This collection contains the highest percentage of gold, essential oils and nutrition, Chang notes. The Nano line has products for day and for night (recovery) and improves visible signs of aging.
But Orogold doesn’t stop at just gold.
Price point: $400 to $1,000
“When we say luxurious ingredients, we mean luxurious ingredients,” Chang assures.
This line uses 100 different ingredients including diamond dust, mother of pearl dust, caffeine, essential oil and vitamins. According to Chang, Cryogenic is meant for priming the skin and reducing the appearance of dark spots and discoloration.
Guess in more ways than one, diamonds really are a girl’s best friend!
Price point: $348 to $598
This series consists of serum, cream, a mask and night repair for tighter, younger skin.
In fact, Richards’ favorite product is the Tèrmica Energizing Mask ($598) because “it heats your skin and then has this cooling effect – and when the skin is heated like that, all the natural ingredients go into your skin.”
Chang explains the mask’s unique heating ingredients purify, rejuvenate and hydrate the skin.
Price point: $128 to $278
If there’s one thing we all know about vitamin C, it’s that it’s good for… well, just about everything!
Chang loves the 24K Vitamin C Booster Facial Serum ($198), which improves the elasticity of the skin. “If the store falls down, I’m going to grab the booster and run out the door!”

THE BOTTOM LINE:
Will we all look as good as Denise Richards if we invest in these prestige collections (that cost a pretty penny and then some)?
