DIVA DOES… 4 Spring 2015 Trends on 1 Face

DIVA DOES… 4 Spring 2015 Trends on 1 Face

Wear ’em together, wear ’em apart but wear EM (Cosmetics) this season!

I enlisted the help of my friend Michel to demonstrate 4 Spring Trends I’m loving — using just 2 Products — all on 1 Face.

Easy breezy.

THE PRODUCTS

I used EM Shade Play Lip Color Mixing Palette in Mix It Up Reds along with EM Scribble Calligraphy Liquid Liner.

The lip palette has a range of shades (from sheer peach to cherry to raspberry) and finishes (from gloss to creamy to matte), giving countless mix and match options. The liner has a super fine tip so you can carefully construct your cat eye.

1. GLOSSY EYES. I live for the wet effect on eyes and always have. It’s back in a big way this spring and all you need is a little gloss and your fingertip. You can layer it over eyeshadow or pat it on bare lids. Either way, it’s likely to crease so either go with it (it’s rock ‘n roll, baby) or be prepared for a touchup or two or twenty depending on how OCD you are.

2. FLUSHED CHEEKS. I cannot get enough of a flushed cheek and using red makes it super modern and cool. The key here is to pat on the creamy pigment (in this case, red lipstick), blend it, and then go over the whole cheek starting with the edges with your still damp foundation brush or sponge. That gives you your “flush.”

3. STAINED LIPS. Red has been going strong season after season – from the coral-reds to the signature scarlets to the vamps. A pretty and romantic way to make red complement a springtime wardrobe is to apply it with a fluffy eyeshadow brush (think MAC 224) so it wears as a soft stain.

4. GRAPHIC LINER. Step away from your 4-shade smoky eye. Even if just for daytime. Instead, swipe some liner across your lashline and take in a new direction. Go thin or thick or double up or play with shapes, but there’s never been a better time to experiment with eyeliner. Don’t have the steadiest hand? Clean up with a precision-tip Qtip dipped in oil-free makeup remover, moisturizer or concealer.

HAPPY SPRING, DIVAS!
