InternDiva: Holiday Glam

InternDiva: Holiday Glam

The holiday season has turned us all into busy little bees. And there are still many holiday parties to come! A lot of the time we plan our looks last minute, so I pulled together a look that is quick and easy to recreate. But of course, still glam. So get your brushes ready!

To start off, we definitely need flawless skin so we can look awwmazing for all the pictures we will be taking. I’m going to go for a medium to full coverage liquid foundation to give me that flawless look. I’ve been wearing Covergirl Queen Collection in sheer Espresso and I’M ABSOLUTLEY IN LOVE! I know your dying to hear the deets but I’m not telling just yet, you’ll have to wait for my future post that will feature this foundation.

We are going for a full glam look and what is a glam look without out some highlighting and contouring. I am not doing anything drastic, just a little something to brighten my under eye and slim down my face. The lighter color that you see under my eyes is Maybelline Fit Me concealer in Cafe 30.  The darker color is my NARS concealer in Dark 1. I’m pretty sure you remember that concealer because I raved about it in my beauty bag must-haves post. The NARS concealer is a shade lighter than my complexion so I use that to highlight my forehead, bridge of my nose and chin. My contour color is MAC’S Brown Down eyeshadow (yes, eyeshadow). Makeup, no matter what it is, can be used for anything!  Like the time I saw Lauren’s post on 1 lipstick three ways and flipped!  So, if I’m stranded somewhere with only my Milani Blackcherry lipstick I can still make magic!

Nothing much going on here, except a whole lot of blending! Blending is the secret to perfect makeup.

Now that we are blended to perfection, we can move on to the eyes. Loose eyeshadow pigments are perfect for a glam look. I chose to go with MAC’S Moss Garden loose pigment. This pigment was limited edition but a color such as MAC’S Old Gold would be great with this look. I prefer to use my finger to apply this pigments because I find that it look much better than applying it with a brush.

Go ahead and apply your eyeliner. Next grab your favorite blending brush and slowly smudge out your liner. We do this slowly so that our liner isn’t completely gone but it will give our liner a soft and smokey effect. Continue to blend out towards the tail of your winged liner. From there slowly drag the color into your crease.

Your liner should look like this.

Add some lashes! I’m wearing Kiss #11 lashes

I kept my lips simple with some gloss– but it was red, of course! This is one coat of MAC Russian Red lip glass.

Whether it’s Christmas parties or New Year’s Eve, this look is perfect for a night out.

What are you divas doing for your holiday look? Keeping it simple or  ending the year with a bang? Either way, I’m sure you will look divalicious!

See you soon divas!
