APPLICATION
For the past week, I gave it a go with no expectations. What struck me about the shampoo is that a quarter-size is enough for a full-head, whereas my normal hair routine requires 2 applications because other shampoos usually aren’t able to saturate my long, chest-length hair. This was a convenient surprise since both bottles are about 10 fl oz in contrast to my usual 25.4 fl oz. As for fragrance, both products have a fresh and addicting scent of grapefruit, magnolia, and cedar, which rightfully left me with a cleansed feel.
I have to say that my favorite part about application was the conditioner. Because of my somewhat lengthy hair, I do not, I repeat, do NOT survive without conditioner. Best believe that when I stay overnight at a hotel, I go through 2 travel-sized bottles at the least! So as per my usual routine, I load up on conditioner until my hair is completely detangled before I get out of the shower. With Molton Brown Volumising Conditioner, a quarter-size immediately nourishes plus detangles all of my hair from any knots that existed pre-application. I may just have to give this one the gold ribbon for the Best Conditioner Award.
RESULTS
Molton Brown, thank you for leaving my hair with the most volume, shape, and bounce that I have ever seen before with any shampoo or conditioner. All I want to do is run my fingers through my hair and show off my lightweight locks. No frizz, no knots. Just a noticeable amount of volume that I’ve been dying to see throughout the years. These two products deserve an A+ for results.
Now, I’d be lying to say all that body came without any tradeoff. I noticed a lack of shine using this shampoo/conditioner combo. So although the benefits more than made up for it, I didn’t see the sleekness or shine that my usual hair products gave me. No worries. I turned right over to my go-to serum, which I have 110% confidence in. Packed with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera, Herstyler Argan Oil Hair Serum creates soft, glossy hair in seconds. And despite its seemingly small size, it is in fact economical since you only need a pea-sized amount to get you through the day!
