Every month I treat myself to new products in the form of the Petit Vour Subscription Box. It’s a 100% Vegan Beauty box with luxurious samples to try. It’s a fun way to learn about new products and to be able to share them with my friends. This month my favorite product is Balanced Guru’s Nice & Gritty Scrub. 

Before I gush about the product, the brand is what I fell for first. Balanced Guru believes in safe, ethical, and compassionate products. Ingredients are raw, natural, and certified organic and I felt at ease putting this product basically on my whole body (you can even use it gently on your face!). I also love that their materials for packaging are 100% recyclable and biodegradable. You don’t find these traits often, and we haven’t even gotten inside yet. 

This scrub contains: Raw Sugar, Organic Coffee, Coconut Oil, Babassu Oil and Cocoa Butter. I am obsessed with all of these ingredients, especially the coffee. Coffee-infused products have done wonders for waking up my skin and improving the entire appearance. It also has a sweet hint of mint which lingers lightly for a while. 

The product itself is dry which was unexpected for me. Usually scrubs have a very thick, moist texture to them. You add a bit of water to form a paste and from there you can scrub on elbows, knees, and my personal favorite…the backs of the legs. This is a GREAT  scrub to use before you apply a bronzer or self-tanner and even after shaving!

After using this my skin felt smooth. The cold weather, lack of shaving as much as I do in the summer (shh!), and sitting more often at home left my skin dull and lackluster. This brightened it and woke it up. So, to prep for your spring beauty routine, add this scrub in! It’s gentle, effective, and gives back to more than just the animals. You’re giving back to our planet!
