It was easy breezy to come up with a beauty look for this Daily Diva.
Nicole, a partner at social branding site SocialButterflye, is a self-proclaimed “SpanAsian” – part Filipino, part Spanish and part Chinese – who doesn’t wear much makeup on the regular, but wanted something fun for a party.
What better than a pop of exotic jade for such an exotic beauty?
So as we chatted about (what else?!) love and life – I primed, perfected and painted this face…
We started with Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer on clean skin.
Finding a foundation to perfectly match Nicole’s honey beige skin took no time at all. I had been sent several shades of Match Perfection Foundation from Rimmel for my latest video with Cosmopolitan and the first one we tried (#350) was literally perfection!
I spot corrected any little flaws with MAC Studio Finish Concealers in NW30 and NW40.
I then warmed, highlighted and rouged up my girl using IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Bronzer, Bye Bye Pores Illuminizer and A…
For brows, it was just a quick fill with IT Cosmetics Brow Powder (ummmm might I mention that I LOVE this thing – it’s one universal shade so no matching required, light dashes mimic real hair and it has a spoolie brush for combing).
The eyes were super simple, which I find is often most flattering when playing with a single pop of color.
I fully rimmed Nicky’s peepers in MAC Electric Cool Eye Shadow in Fashion Circuit, then softly smudged. These shadows are texturally similar to the Estee Lauder Gelee Powder Eyeshadows and Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Eyeshadows – like a mousse or a souffle with lots of bounce. Fashion Circuit is a rich sparkly green that goes on as a wash and can be layered for more color impact.
I finished the eyes with a light coat of LORAC Visual Effects Mascara. The wand is less like a brush, more like a comb so it separates and coats each lash.
Lastly, to complement all our boy talk, a swipe of LORAC Lips with Benefits in Nick.
