DAILY DIVA: High Simmer

DAILY DIVA: High Simmer

If a make-him-melt, made-for-midnight makeup look is smokin’, let’s call this dangerously-demure yet doable-for-daytime look simmering.

Warning: Just a few added steps may bring it to a boil.

The best part – I created it using all of Intern Jess’ favorite new products. So she has everything she needs to recreate the look and, ps, it’s super simple.

Here are the goods.

And here’s where they go.

1. Sweep Cargo Swimmables Bronzer ($29) along the hairline and jawline, then apply to cheeks swirling up towards the temples.

2. Dust Cargo Swimmables Blush ($26) onto the apples of the cheek and blend up slightly towards temples. (Be sure to avoid placing peachy or reddish shades too close to the center of the face.)

3. Eyeshadow palettes really come down to personal preference and you can create countless combinations as well as play with placement. For this look using NYX Love in Florence, I applied to the top left champagne shade over Jess’ full lid. I then added a mix of the top middle and right shades from the lashline to the crease. Finally I ran the darkest shade into the crease and over the outer corner.

Three main things made this eye daytime appropriate. One, I selected all neutral shades. Two, I gently washed on all the color (versus patting or pressing or layering) so it wouldn’t be highly saturated. Three, I thoroughly blended all the shades where the met.

4. Lacquer lips with Jane Intense Color Lip Gloss straight from the tube. I used my finger afterwards to soften just the lipline.

Boom. Done & dusted!
