The Struggle of Taking Off Lipstick

Hey LDiva!

As we all know, big occasions and holidays are all the reason to wear a bold lip to top off a festive outfit. Today, I obvi had to rock a strong red lip in honor of Christmas day, but after 12 straight hours of keeping it on, I was dying to get home and have my lips wiped clean.

As always, I faced the struggle of taking my lipstick off, especially after so many dry-outs/reapplications throughout the day. Instead of using makeup remover, I use water and Vaseline to remove my makeup in general, but even with that requires 5 straight minutes of continuous rubbing of my lips.

So my question is, is there another solution to my dilemma? Aside from using makeup remover, is there an easier way of taking off lipstick?

    Hey girl!

    One word: OIL.

Either straight up cleansing oil or a homemade DIY batch.

For me it’s the quickest way to remove stubborn makeup. Melts it right off. And (bonus!) replenishes while it works.

Almay also has these affordable makeup removing pads (little circles) that contain oil (get the ones labeled longwear & waterproof) and they are not only effective but you can also just toss them out once you’re done with them. Brilliant.

OIL! Why didn’t I think of that?! Would Baby Oil work along these lines as well?

    Thanks so much! <3
