DAILY DIVA: Monochromatic Makeup using Creamy Color

This week, 5 of my beauty tips for getting out the door faster are featured on Cosmopolitan. Two of which together constitute my current daily go-to: Monochromatic Makeup using All Creams.

This look is so quick, literally taking just a few minutes, and the effect is so polished, due to the cohesiveness of using a single shade, that every woman should have it in her bag of tricks.

I love it so much in berry tones for Fall that I featured it on a recent FOX online video segment and also gave the look to Intern Jess for this post.

FOX created a pictographic using the shades and it’s seriously this simple…

Here’s all I used for the full face after applying a light foundation.

M.A.C Lip Liner in Beet mixed with Katherine Cosmetics Everyday Cheek Glow Cream Blush in Bonneymede mixed with Estee Lauder Cello Shots Pure Color Lipshine in X-Pose Rose on eyes, lips and cheeks. Pat this creamy mixture on with your fingertips.

Plus NYX Eyeliner in Jet Black (optional) along the lashline and a coat or two of Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket in Blackest Black.

Done and dusted! XOLC

“One of the quickest ways to put on your makeup is to apply your foundation and then choose one color and swipe it onto your eyes, lips, and cheeks using your fingertip for a monochromatic look.”

“By using your fingers to apply your makeup, you eliminate the time it takes to find the right brush, apply your makeup perfectly using each tool, and then washing them after to avoid bacteria buildup.”
