For those who don’t know, Rosy is a core part of my DIVAlicious team and handles all the accounting and finances. She also tests and reviews products marketed to a “mature woman.” And might I add, she’s my mom. So despite being fired (and rehired) just a couple of times in my own fleeting moments of frustration and impatience, I got her for life. And she’s got me.
We think we’re a pretty lucky team.
We like to do the books from her new beachfront condo because honestly few things can make Quickbooks enjoyable and a view of the ocean with fresh pressed juices in hand happens to one of them.
Of course, there’s only so long I can do numbers. My mind either goes numb or goes elsewhere. So we break things up with mini-makeovers and at-home spa treatments. Last time we tested Rodan + Fields which Rosy blogged about (we both loved the skincare!) and this time we played with this neutral Body Shop eyeshadow palette…
I have to say, retirement looks good on Rosycruise. And so do these soft washes of shimmery color. In addition to using all four shades to create a subtle daytime-into-evening smoky eye, I also used the peachy shade on her cheeks and the champagne shade on her cupid’s bow. Took but a few minutes.
In all facets, when we get down to business, we are big on efficiency and multi-tasking.
To bump it up for nighttime, she could simply add some eyeliner plus layer on a deeper or brighter lip.
Because after a long day of depleting all her mental energy, the last thing Rosy wants to do is have to think about how to wear her makeup. Which ironcally, exhausted or not, is pretty much one thing I always want to do.
Must be differences like these that make us such a compatible diva duo…
