Glitter. It’s got a bad rap that it doesn’t deserve.
In fact, you can truly wear glitter all day errrrrrrryday and it can look sophisticated, chic, even subtle.
To prove our point, I painted some sparkle onto intern Jess’ lids using our FAVE GLITTER EYELINERS.
1. LIT, $19.95 kit
I love LIT because you can buy the loose glitter + the glitter glue with the brush all in one little kit at Sephora. I’ve blogged about it before and that’s because I really do think it’s a genius product. (You can use the glue for other glitters as well.) You just dip the brush in the glue, then dip it in the glitter, and run it finely along the lashline (or really wherever you want). Instant glamour. The LIT glitter isn’t chunky so it beautifully catches light yet has a delicate (yes, delicate) feel.
Prefer something a bit bolder? You can buy the glitter type/shade of your choice at Lit.com, where they got stacks on stacks of options.
2. NYX Liquid Crystal Liner, $4.50 each
These are a breeze to apply and if you don’t want bright ‘gold’ opt for the ‘silk’ shade instead. It’s a softer champagne and it’s totally GORGE. These come with a built-in brush that’s beginner-friendly if you’re not a liquid liner queen. And honestly, you can’t beat the price. Pick up a handful at your local Tar-jay.
If you want to keep the look understated, just remember to pair it with an otherwise minimal makeup look.
3. Rouge Bunny Rouge Devotion Ink Liner, $32 each
So these ones are not for the budget babe — but are worth your hard earn bucks if you’ve got ’em to spare. The shades are just INSANE. (I think Jess wanted this look permanently tattoo’d on!) The brush is also a bit stiffer so you are able to draw on thicker and more dramatic shapes with ease.
NOTE: We stuck to neutrals to drive home the all day errrryday point, but the ‘opalescence essence’ color for spring is gonna be my stunner shade. This product has serious WOW factor.
So fear not, divas, and get your glitter on.
