There are few things I love as much as beauty and fashion, color and texture, art and expression. But my love for wine is prettttty high up there.
Pretty, pretty high.
What else I love? A style challenge.
So after taking the Palate Profile Quiz from Club W, a monthly wine club that personalizes its shipments based on your tastes and preferences, I waited for the 3 bottles to arrive and when they did, I assessed which one would inspire a full beauty/fashion look.
PS, I was asked in the profile things like how I take my coffee, my feelings on salt, if I am culinarily adventurous and so on. This is what showed up on my (metaphoric) doorstep…
Based on looks alone — what can I say?? I’m vain! — I chose the rosé.
What a beautiful label and a perfect complement to the coloring of the wine itself. Plus, its color story was not typical for the fall season and that inspired me creatively to figure out a way to “make it work.”
Off to pull a palette fit for a palate-pleaser… with blues and creams and roses.
I headed into my studio to pick product and gather garments.
Now, playing favorites with makeup is always hard for me. But with this bottle as my inspiration, I knew immediately which I’d be selecting.
- Physician’s Formula Extreme Shimmer Shadow Nude Palette, $12. This gel-to-powder formula has 6 beautiful and super luxe-looking shades from rosegold to peach to taupe to gunmetal, all with enough sparkle to bounce light and command attention. Just tap them on with your fingertips.
- Vincent Longo Dew Drop Radiant Blush in Sandalwood, $30. This blush is GORGEOUS. You can sweep on a sheer flush or layer it for intensity. This particular shade is flattering on everyone. (Note: That includes YOU.)
- Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Gloss in Just a Glimmer, $4.49. Not sticky. Not opaque. Not silver-y. Just the perfect iridescent. At the perfect price.
Wardrobe was even easier. I had just the thing. I recently scooped up this faux fur vest from Target and I knew it would be the hero piece of the look. I would typically wear it with all black or monochromatic hues. But the bottle required otherwise.
So I paired it with a Lucky brand denim button-down and Alice and Olivia chambray wide-leg trousers. Plus, a Hermes “H” bangle and some vintage jewels from my late and beloved grandma.
Even in the colder weather (and sometimes even in a snowstorm), we like to enjoy our rooftop sunsets – so up to the roof we went to capture both the beautiful NYC night and the final look, which I’m calling Rosé All Day – And Head to Toe.
The wind wasn’t exactly cooperating (hello hair everywhere and fur flying) but the Club W Sauvetage wine certainly was ;)
Needless to say, we enjoyed it in style.
OH… and some of the other Club W featured wine labels are kickass too. I mean… hey, what’s up, hello…
As for the other bottles I received, don’t be surprised if another DIVAlicious team member takes a crack at it…
Because inspiration is everywhere. And sometimes it leaves you with a fresh face, out-of-the-ordinary outfit — and a nice buzz.

This palette looks beautiful on you. I think it might work for me as well. I can go from morning til night without changing my makeup. A home run!!!
I think this palette would work on most! If not a perfect match, you can always add in a few shades to either make it warmer or cooler so it’s more custom for you. xoLC
I am in love with EVERYTHING in this post, LC! We think alike…I find inspiration from so much throughout the day Your expression through fashion and makeup is so well balanced and very complimentary!! LOVE :) xx, PC
