Kylie Jenner Lips Tutorial

We all know Kylie Jenner, aka the grunge-chic chick of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. Recently, she’s been taking the beauty industry by storm with her voluptuous pink/nude lips. Although she’s denied lip plumper, I may have found her secret! And it won’t break the bank…

French Touch Of Makeup did a great dupe of the look showcased on Kylie’s Instagram, but used four different products, spent approximately $78 and included some limited-release items that are no longer available.

For me, I used products I already owned, that are readily available, and that cost a mere $38. AND one of the products contains a minimal lip plumper so I achieved a more natural-looking yet still full-bodied lip, like Kylie has.

My go-to products for The Kylie Jenner Lip:

  1. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Naked ($19 on
  2. Buxom® Full-On™ Lip Stick in Amsterdam ($19 on

How to get the now-iconic Kyle Jenner Lip look:

First, line your lips with “Naked” but make a thick lined rim around the entire mouth. For more defined edges and to create the look of added fullness, go just outside of the natural lip lines, as Kylie does.

For the cupid’s bow (the “M” in the center of your upper lip), create a soft, lowercase “m” instead of a more traditional pointy “M”.

Next, color in the rest of your lips with the “Amsterdam” color and blend.

Darken the edges again with “Naked” to make your lips more pronounced.

NOTE: “Amsterdam” by Buxom contains a slight plumper in it. The first use will have a “cooling” sensation that lasts for about 4 hours. After continued use, the “cooling” lasts about 2 hours. It slightly plumps, but nothing too wild. After removal, lips go back to normal. I love it.

For the rest of my face makeup, I continued to follow Kylie’s style by adding a naturally defined brow, light eyeshadow, a ton of mascara, and contouring on the cheekbone with a mixture of bronzer, blush and highlighter.

Love this post! That upper case “M” versus lower case “m” description for the cupid’s bow… #bullseye
