Four weeks ago I never thought I would need a BB Cream in my daily regimen. Today I hardly leave the house without applying it!

Pond’s Luminous Finish BB+ Cream has made me a devout convert.

My former routine started with Shiseido Perfect Refining Liquid Foundation, which works really well for the redness around my nose, dark circles, and  my frown marks (two dark lines going from the corner of my lips to my chin). But for the past three hot summer weeks, I switched over to Pond’s Luminous Finish BB cream to test for the site.

I found the BB cream not only to be a lighter, less oily alternative, but also a great skincare product. (Although Shiseido does beat Pond’s by 2 with sun protection SPF 17 as opposed to SPF 15).

Pond’s BB cream promises to give an immediate flawless finish and more even skin tone in two weeks. I’m happy to verify both statements!

Just a bit of Luminious Finish provides smooth coverage. I pat one pea-sized amount onto skin with a finger to cover both under the eyes and the sides of my nose – and another pea or so for the rest of my face as needed.

The unique and lovely thing about this product (especially considering that I apply it around my nose) is that it has a pleasant, light citrus scent.

After three weeks of using this product, I noticed two things:

1. The darkness under my eyes and frown marks became noticeably lighter
2. My skin did not break out like it occasionally did while I was using a liquid foundation!

Now this product is called Luminous Finish for a reason. It leaves a dewy glow. Since my skin is already glistening from this seasonal heat, I may have preferred a more matte finish. However, with the hot and sticky New York weather gradually cooling down and drying out, I think this negative will soon switch to a positive.

In fact, I have a strong feeling I’ll be purchasing another bottle in the foreseeable future…
