For as long as I can remember, I’ve been testing and trying different hair products. I’m always searching for various products and styles that best fit my hair, and of course make me look good! As far as my daily hair regimen, there isn’t much… I wash my hair every other day, sometimes every two days to keep some natural oil and moisture, and I’ve begun using a heat protectant when heat styling my hair.
One thing that will kill you all to hear is, brace yourselves… I use 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner.
I know.. I know! I hate myself for it too.
Sometimes my hair can feel especially dry because I tend to use an iron 2-3 times a week (which is a lot for me). To add some moisture and shine, since my 2-in-1 combo doesn’t quite cut it sometimes (meaning often/always), I’ll usually use some kind of oil in my hair, even adding it into the roots and combing it through to the ends (not as recommended).
Recently though, I’ve become a bit of a stickler for keeping my hair healthy – researching oils that will retain moisture, trying to figure out the best shampoo and conditioner for my hair type, and testing out different hairsprays that will give me just the right amount of hold and flexibility.
After hearing about my hair habits, LDiva suggested a shampoo infused with natural oils - L’Oréal Professionnel’s Mythic Oil Nourishing Shampoo - to help return moisture and shine. Of course I was completely on board and eager to escape my shampoo + conditioner combo regimen for a while.
Within the first use, I felt a difference.
My hair is naturally thick and a little wavy with a good amount of volume. Most days, my hair works with me, and others – it’s completely unruly! After testing the Mythic Oil Nourishing Shampoo, my hair was noticeably softer to the touch, and after three washes, my hair was smooth and shiny. There isn’t much of a scent to it aside from a natural oil fragrance. I used this shampoo without conditioner, and my hair was still smooth, shiny, and easy to style the next day .. Enough so to even merit a compliment from a fellow diva on the street!
All in all, I give this shampoo a thumbs up and recommend it to anyone looking for that extra smooth soft shine.
