The Lettuces: Everyday is Monday

The Lettuces: Everyday is Monday

NOTE: This post was originally published on Instagram. I am reposting and backdating it here as part of a historical series in order to preserve these meaningful memories and early motherhood thoughts and experiences in a way that is not tied to any social media platform. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for some time. As we formally shelter in place in NYC, this project brings me happiness and a welcome break from the news. 🖤

People think when you’re self-employed everyday is Saturday. But that’s retirement. Everyday is Monday for entrepreneurs and business owners.

🗓🗓🗓

As of this month, I’ve been self-employed for 9 years.

And we turned Nico’s hot sauces into a family business almost 2 years ago.

No two days are ever the same, and every single day is an adventure with risk and reward. And the time flies. Mostly because there’s not enough of it.

And when there is so much you’re looking ahead to, you rarely look back to see all you’ve already done. But today we started a project in which we did a little rewind, and we were both proud and excited. Will share with you guys soon… 💋
