DIVA DOES… The Brush Off

When it comes to makeup brushes, I definitely play favorites. Only the best for the job make it into my pro kit.

Here are a few of my go-tos and what i use them for:

1. This MAC #130 Short Duo Fibre Brush is amazing for foundation, liquid highlighter, cream blush. Really everything to get skin looking lush and flawless.

2. This Lancôme #8 Concealer Brush is perfectly shaped to give you great control as you spot correct and then blend coverage.

3. This IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Flat Top Buffing Brush is incredible for blending contour products. Makeup will appear seamless.

4, 5, 6. This MAC trio comprises your smoky eye essentials. The #239 Eye Shader (bottom of trio) pats on pigment to lids. The #219 Pencil Brush(top of trio) deposits concentrated color to the crease and outer corner. And the #224 Tapered Blending Brush (middle of trio) does all the blending work for you.

7. This MAC Short Shader is densely packed and deposits saturated color. It’s stiff construction makes it ideal for rimming around the upper and lower lashlines.

I NEEDED this post. I get so confused by all the brushes that are out there. It really gets difficult to narrow them down in order to make a purchase – especially if you’re not a pro and have no other standard to compare a brush to. Thank you! <3

I really love those ambient lighting powders…I want all of them!! What brush should I use to apply them?

BTW, the site looks great! Some really good additions but I must say, I’m glad you kept some of the older posts. :-)

For the ambient lighting powders, I would go with THIS or THIS. I have and use both for that product, which I also love.
