DIVA DISH: The Perfect Makeup for Springtime Florals

DIVA DISH: The Perfect Makeup for Springtime Florals

So you’re coveting a closet full of crisp florals this spring. I get it. The seasonal print is back and better than ever.

But what you may not have considered is the best makeup to pair with the pretty print.

While we all love our golden goddess and bronze bombshell go-to beauty looks this time of year, may I suggest (or rather, passionately encourage) a wash of pastel color on both lips and cheeks ??

The perfect pairing: Super Blendable Cream Blush (or convertible color stick) + High Shine Gloss.

My color combo of choice, to complement my olive skin, is Maybelline Master Glaze in Coral Sheen and Maybelline Color Elixir in Breathtaking Apricot.

For my makeup assistant Charisse, on the other hand, who has more fair and cool-toned skin, we went rosy :)

With Captivating Carnation on lip and Just Pinched Pink on cheek, we take her from glowing and gorgeous BEFORE the pairing…

… to this AFTER!!

In a minutes time (ok, maybe two or three tops!), she goes from fresh-faced beauty to soft, subtle romantic glamour.

Floral-friendly, for sure. Charisse may have just found another excuse to go shopping ;)

    Sabine,

You will LOVE Color Elixir. The shade range is insane. I’m out in Cali and just picked up another one – a new pale pink called I’m Blushing.
